MFK in "thinkdigital" Magazine

Canon talks to Operations Director Neil Dartnall about the switch to Canon and how they have helped streamline the business.

MFK has a new image!

The company has been re-branded and re-organised to ensure we offer our customers the highest possible standards of product and service. We are now trading as MFK Digital, which embraces the former trading entities of Pear Tree Press, Petam Bookbinding and MFK-Mendip.

Though our focus is on our core area of expertise, digital on-demand printing, the company continues to offer the full range of services overseen by our teams of experts in bookbinding, finishing, fulfilment and data management.

MFK Digital Announces New Green Initiatives

With the ever growing-concern of environmental issues MFK Digital has now implemented a Green Team to lead the way in ensuring whole company is doing everything it can to reduce the size of its carbon footprint, and make the company more aware than ever of environmental issues and what we can do to reduce them.

The team is being headed up by Alex Whitelaw, our Customer Services Manager, working closely with his colleagues on the management team.

The aim of the team is to work towards ISO 14001 to ensure sure MFK Digital is as environmentally aware as possible. This will include using recycled resources, making using recycled materials, turning off lights and computers and using greener vehicles on the road.

We are going through our business in fine detail to make sure we are one of the most environmentally-friendly printing companies in the country. In order to pursue our policy of environmental management we have already embarked upon the ISO 14001 standard and expect to achieve this accreditation in the first quarter of 2008.

We look forward to announcing other environmental policy changes in the near future thus assuring our clients that MFK Digital has a serious belief in protecting the future of our environment for our children and grandchildren.

FSC Accreditation

MFK Digital is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Forest Stewardship Council's (FSC) Chain of Custody Standard. The FSC accredits independent third-party organisations who can certify forest managers and forest product producers to FSC standards.

To achieve this accreditation, it has been necessary to re-train our staff and make changes to some of our internal processes. We are now confident that the materials we use are controlled throughout the whole manufacturing process, to the benefit of the environment. Click for full story.
